EFEKTIVITAS PENGGUNAAN FORUM DISKUSI ONLINE DAN PEER-ASSESSMENT UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KETRAMPILAN PRESENTASI DAN DISKUSI MAHASISWA

Abstract


Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menguji efektivitas penggunaan forum diskusi online (FDO) dalam rangka meningkatkan keterampilan presentasi dan diskusi mahasiswa. Pertanyaan penelitian adalah (1) bagaimana efektivitas menggunakan FDO untuk meningkatkan keterampilan presentasi dan diskusi; (2) bagaimana hubungan antara penggunaan forum online dengan peningkatan keterampilan presentasi mahasiswa; (3) bagaimana hubungan antara penggunaan forum online dengan peningkatan keterampilan diskusi mahasiswa. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimental dengan menggunakan desain faktorial. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 186 mahasiswa di Jombang, Jawa Timur. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik penilaian otentik dalam bentuk penilaian sejawat (peer-assessment). Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis varian multivariat (MANOVA) menggunakan aplikasi SPSS. Penelitian membuktikan bahwa (1) penggunaan forum diskusi online efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan presentasi dan diskusi; (2) hubungan antara penggunaan forum diskusi online dengan keterampilan presentasi siswa juga signifikan; dan (3) hubungan antara penggunaan forum diskusi online dengan keterampilan diskusi mahasiswa adalah signifikan.
