KETERAMPILAN SPASIAL SISWA MASKULIN DALAM MENYELESAIKAN MASALAH GEOMETRI

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keterampilan spasial siswa maskulin dalam menyelesaikan masalah geometri. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu siswa laki-laki dengan gender maskulin kelas XII yang memiliki tingkat kemampuan spasial kuat. Prosedur pengambilan data melalui tugas masalah geometri, dan wawancara. Keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi waktu. Analisis data mengacu pada aspek keterampilan spasial meliputi kondensasi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa maskulin: melihat konfigurasi spasial di tengah-tengah informasi latar belakang yang mengganggu dengan menemukan, menyebut dan menamai bangun tersebut berdasarkan karakteristik yang terdapat pada bangun; menggambar bangun kubus ABCD.EFGH dengan menjadikan bidang ABCD sebagai sisi depan kubus dan menjadikan bidang EFGH sebagai sisi belakang kubus, merepresentasikan kubus ke dalam bidang datar untuk mempermudah menyelesaikan soal, merotasi objek dan menyebutkan perubahan posisi unsur-unsur dalam objek akibat rotasi yang telah dilakukannya; menyebutkan hubungan spasial antar bangun dalam kubus dengan melihat melalui arah atas, samping, dan depan kubus serta dengan menggunakan konsep spasial yang telah diketahuinya; menggambar bangun kubus dari arah yang berbeda dengan cara membayangkan dan melihat titik-titik pada kubus sebagai patokannya.
