PENGUATAN LITERASI DIGITAL KAUM MUDA, MENJAWAB TANTANGAN DUNIA KERJA MASA DEPAN: Sebuah Telaah Kritis

Abstract


Kajian ini mengupas berbagai kecenderungan yang terjadi pada era sekarang dan yang akan datang, yang mengharuskan semua pihak memiliki literasi digital yang kuat. Penguatan literasi digital, khususnya bagi kaum muda merupakan hal yang mendesak seiring dengan semakin masifnya pemanfaatan perangkat digital dalam berbagai bidang kehidupan. Penggunaan teknologi digital dalam dunia kerja telah mengubah pekerjaan dan mengubah cara seseorang menjalankan pekerjaan. Berbagai jenis aktifitas pekerjaan rutin yang selama ini dikerjakan secara manual telah banyak digantikan dengan perangkat digital dan teknologi robotik. Laporan WEF tahun 2017 mengungkapkan dalam rentang 2 tahun antara tahun 2015 sampai 2017 terjadi peningkatan pemanfaatan perangkat digital dalam berbagai bidang kehidupan. Munculnya pandemic global pada awal tahun 2019, dan belum ada tanda-tanda kapan segera berakhir semakin memperkuat pemanfaatan perangkat digital dalam berbagai aktifitas pekerjaan. Pekerjaan yang bersifat rutin banyak yang digantikan oleh perangkat digital dan teknologi robotik. Hasil kajian mengungkapkan bahwa untuk menghadapi lingkungan kehidupan yang digerakkan oleh perangkat digital, maka penguatan literasi digital, khususnya bagi kaum muda yang akan lebih banyak berperan dalam kehidupan di masa depan; merupakan conditio sine qua non! Untuk itu disarankan agar kegiatan pembelajaran di berbagai jenjang pendidikan diarahkan untuk memperkuat literasi digital agar kelak para lulusannya siap menjawab tantangan dunia kerja di masa depan.
